San Miguel Arts Festival Returns with Over 100 Events
From August 1 to 17, the San Miguel de Allende Arts Festival (FASMA) will take over the city with more than 100 events across opera, music, dance, theater, and visual arts in one of Mexico’s most beautiful cultural destinations.
Alongside performances, FASMA will offer free art workshops for children and take parts of the program to various neighborhoods, expanding cultural access to wider communities.
FASMA 2025 marks two major anniversaries:
· The 50th anniversary of the Ballet Folklórico Representativo de San Miguel de Allende / Gala at Teatro Ángela Peralta / August 7
· The 75th anniversary of the Instituto Allende / Festival headquarters / Workshops in sculpture, painting, jewelry, and Mexican textile arts

FASMA includes 25 participating organizations, such as Casa Europa, El Nigromante, Instituto Allende, Public Library, San Miguel Literary Sala, and others. This public-private initiative is supported by the City of San Miguel’s Culture and Tourism Directorates and other local institutions.
